Services offered

Schedule your mobile videoconference equipment (two units available) for room spaces that do not have contemporary video conferencing capability. The solution is designed to fit on a cart that audiovisual staff will set up for you to use and tear down after your session. Key services include:

  • Videoconferencing on a cart: A laptop wireless keyboard/mouse is provided for you to use with two high-definition cameras, four microphones and a PA speaker. Cameras provide a field of view of 90 and 180 degrees and have microphones that can be table or stand-mounted. Lapel microphones are also available if required. A monitor display is provided on a cart with a VGA cable for connecting to the user's device.

  • Demonstration, equipment training, and information: The online booking form will guide you through the information required and provide an option to specify any additional requirements that audiovisual personnel will strive to support, including a demonstration if requested.

Note: A colleague is responsible for operating the equipment. The audiovisual technician will provide training half an hour before the event starts.

To request a mobile videoconferencing cart

  1. Confirm that you have booked the appropriate room space with the following requirements:
    • Wired network and power outlets.
    • Room for a cart to be positioned within 10' of the room AV connections.
    • In addition to your session time, 2 hours of setup time and 2 hours of tear down time.
  2. Complete and submit the Audiovisual request form.
