Research Interests

My research focuses on understanding how aquatic ecosystems, including lakes, reservoirs, and coastal systems, respond to environmental changes such as climate warming, nutrient enrichment, and carbon cycling. I am particularly interested in exploring how biogeochemical processes in water and sediments regulate greenhouse gas emissions from freshwater systems, contributing to global carbon budgets. My work integrates field sampling, laboratory analysis, and statistical modeling to assess water quality, oxygen depletion rates, carbon fluxes, and nutrient cycling.

Recently, my interests have expanded into nature-based climate solutions, including carbon dioxide removal technologies like ocean alkalinity enhancement. I enjoy working at the interface of environmental monitoring and applied research, where scientific evidence directly supports sustainable resource management, policy development, and climate mitigation strategies.
