Experimental thermofluids.

Research description

Experimental heat and mass transfer, droplet and fuel science, non-intrusive laser diagnostics and turbulent convection.

Graduate student opportunities

Dr. Verwey is seeking 1-2 M.Sc. students to begin in fall 2023 or winter 2024, and 1-2 Ph.D. students to follow. Ideal candidates are those with hands-on mechanical aptitude, the ability to write and modify computer codes (e.g., MATLAB), an interest and theoretical background in thermofluids, and strong writing/communication skills.
