Kathryn Atamanchuk is a professional engineer with a strong background in Manitoba’s aerospace sector, where she held progressively senior roles including Service Engineer, Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, and Director of Engineering Services at StandardAero. She holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science degree, the latter focused on engineering education research—reflecting her passion for developing both the technical and professional capabilities of engineers.
An active volunteer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, Kathryn has served on the Investigation Committee, on Council, and as Association President in 2024. She also contributes to the broader engineering and technical community as a board member of WestCaRD and the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology.
Recognizing the growing importance of lifelong learning and career adaptability, Kathryn has been involved in the development and delivery of microcredentials designed to enhance work-ready skills for both undergraduate and graduate engineering students.
As an engineer-in-residence, Kathryn Atamanchuk supports Manitoba’s Aersopace sector in various ways:
Teaching MECH 3170 Project Management
Acting as a liaison between industry and the Faculty to promote aerospace related activities including research projects and student internships.
