Program Evaluation, assessment, quantitative methods, teaching effectiveness.
Dr. Renaud's research focuses mainly on program evaluation. Within the engineering program, this touches on two main evaluation questions: (1) How well is the educational program working, in terms of the participants (usually students), having learned and developed in the expected ways (outcomes)? and (2) To what degree is the program delivered as intended (process)?
Dr. Renaud is currently seeking graduate students with an interest in engineering education research. Prospective students should review the information about the Graduate Specialization in Engineering Education available on the website of the Centre for Engineering Professional Practice and Engineering Education and contact him with a brief description of their research interest.
