Research

Area

Soil and water engineering.

Expertise

Irrigation, Drainage, Flow and contaminant transport through porous media, soil remediation, soil instrumentation and with IoT.

Research description

Dr. Sri Ranjan's conducts field research in irrigation and drainage for sustainable crop production and water conservation and does computer modelling of these process to assess the long term impact. His research includes remediation of contaminated soils and groundwater using bioremediation, phytoremediation, and electrokinetic remediation. He uses "Internet of Things" technology to develop instrumentation for real-time field data collection.

Graduate Student Opportunities

Dr. Sri Ranjan is interested in working in the areas of irrigation and drainage, contaminant transport modelling. Only students with exceptional academic credentials who have their own scholarship/funds will be considered at this time.
