Nancy Auyeung, BSc (Dent), DMD
Biography
Dr. Nancy Auyeung is a 1992 dental graduate of then Faculty of Dentistry and now the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba and has maintained a private dental practice in Winnipeg for over 30 years. Dr. Auyeung is a past president of the Manitoba Dental Association (MDA) and has served on various MDA committees during her professional career.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Auyeung is a part time clinical instructor at the Dr. Gerald Niznick College of Dentistry and also serves as the appointed director of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Dentistry/Dental Hygiene. Dr. Auyeung contributes to numerous national dental organizations and has been recognized with fellowships in the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Connie Hack, Dip.DH, RRDH
Biography
Connie Hack graduated with honors from the University of Manitoba in 1996, with dual recognition as a registered dental hygienist as well as a registered restorative dental hygienist.
Connie holds membership with the Canadian and Manitoba Dental Hygienists Associations, as well as the College of Dental Hygienists of Manitoba.
She has spent her entire career working alongside prosthodontists as a restorative hygienist and now also divides her time as a part-time instructor in the Departments of Restorative Dentistry and Dental Hygiene, as well as providing teaching instruction with the CPD program at the University of Manitoba.

Sunil Mutalik, BDS, MS, MDS, FRCD (C)
Biography

Dr. Mutalik holds advanced degrees in oral medicine, radiology, and diagnostic sciences from India and the University of Connecticut. He has over a decade of international experience in oral radiology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
A Member of the Canadian and American associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Dr. Sunil Mutalik is recognized for his innovative teaching methods, including the early adoption of game-based e-learning platforms during his tenure in Malaysia. He has been acclaimed by the medical fraternity for his insightful presentations at various conferences across the globe. He is also known for his scholarly articles on various topics in oral radiology and dental medicine which have appeared in several peer-reviewed dental radiology journals.

Mohamad-Hasan Kadhim, BSc, DDS, FRCD(C)
Biography
Dr. Mohamad-Hasan Kadhim is a certified specialist in oral medicine and oral and maxillofacial pathology, as well as a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Currently, he holds the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Kadhim’s earned his bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Manitoba and served four years in the Canadian Forces in Winnipeg and Shilo. He earned his dental degree from Trinity College Dublin and completed a four-year hospital residency in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology at the University of British Columbia and Vancouver General Hospital.

Dr. Vimi Mutalik is an oral pathologist and associate professor at the University of Manitoba, with international academic and clinical experience in India, Malaysia, the U.S., and Canada. She completed her specialty training in Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology at the Ohio State University and is a Fellow of both the American Board and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Since 2019, she has been Manitoba’s sole oral pathologist, providing expert diagnosis and management of oral diseases including infections, tumors, and precancerous conditions. Dr. Mutalik is also a passionate advocate for patient care and a published researcher with numerous publications.

Sherif Elsaraj, BSc, MSc, DMD, PhD
Biography
Dr. Sherif Elsaraj is the Botox educator for the University of Manitoba’s CPD Dentistry Program. He holds a PhD in Craniofacial Pain and Health Sciences from McGill University and supervises residents in the General Practice Residency Program at the Jewish General Hospital.
His research focuses on TMD, sleep disorders, and orofacial pain, and explores early biomarkers for sleep apnea, factors contributing to the transition from acute to chronic pain, and the effectiveness of mandibular advancement device (MAD) therapy in patients with COMISA. Dr. Elsaraj serves as President of the Ottawa Dental Society and a member of the Scientific Committee of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Maria Barnard, BSc, DH
Biography
Maria Barnard is a graduate of the University of Manitoba. She has over 25 years of clinical experience working in general practice in Manitoba. Maria completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Dental Hygiene in 2011, enjoying the time spent teaching students in the clinic. She has been certified in Local Anesthetic since 2000 and uses her skills in pain management regularly to provide care to her clients.

Biography
Dr. Peter Fritz is a leader at the intersection of clinical practice, technology, and law, serving as chair of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada's Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Digital Technology. With advanced degrees in molecular biology, law, and business, he is shaping the future of AI integration in dentistry across North America. At his multi-specialty practice in Fonthill, Ontario, he has created a “living laboratory” that models next-generation healthcare through AI-powered diagnostics and patient-centered innovation.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Fritz is an adjunct professor at McMaster University and Brock University, where he advances ethical AI use in healthcare through teaching and research. His global benchmarking of over 40 clinics in 25 countries has helped establish new standards for AI adoption, and his commitment to responsible innovation continues to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
