An information desk dedicated to being an approachable and trustworthy resource for you to gather knowledge about the University of Manitoba

Welcome to the Connection Desk

Have questions? Not sure who to ask? You’ve come to the right place!

The Connection Desk strives to be a one-stop-shop for the University of Manitoba community. We can help with general questions about UM - services and support offices, opportunities for students, event details, and more. Our team will make sure to connect you to the right place to get the answers you need about unique concerns.

Our team will be available throughout the week for in-person chats, phone calls and to respond to your emails:

Monday - Friday | 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

What we do

In addition to acting as an information desk, the connection desk serves to be an approachable and trustworthy resource for the UM community. Our team provides information on UM services and supports, acts as a meet-up spot, and works to familiarize students with university.

    Our team is trained to address student, staff, faculty, and visitor inquiries. These inquiries may focus on learning strategies, university services, student clubs, event details, and more. Community members can expect trustworthy and accurate answers, as well as guidance to the next appropriate office or department they should direct their inquiry to.

    meet-up spot

    Our desk is located in a high-traffic space to act as a meet up location for campus tours, a touchpoint foe engagement programming, a symbol of UM pride, and more. Students, staff, partners and visitors are encouraged to come to the connection desk for wayfinding assistance.
