Biography

Dr. Zhang joined the Asper School of Business in 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from Syracuse University, where she taught introductory financial accounting, international financial reporting, and a Ph.D. seminar on data analysis for accounting research. Her research focuses on enhancing the quality of public firms’ financial reporting and developing methods to detect fraud. She is also interested in applying machine learning techniques to provide regulators with deeper insights into firms’ obfuscation practices.
