Biography

Dr. Yu Xia is an assistant professor at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. He graduated from McGill University (Montreal, QC) in 2022 with a Ph.D. in Finance and previously obtained a master's degree in Economics from Duke University (Durham, NC). He received his bachelor's degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Wuhan University (Wuhan, China). His current research interests are in asset pricing, financial institutions, and machine learning. His research has been presented at several academic conferences including Northern Finance Association (NFA).
