Biography

Zixu Zhang is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Accounting & Finance from which he has earned Ph.D in Management (Finance). His research is mainly in the field of corporate finance with focuses on entrepreneurial finance, family business and corporate governance. His research interests further extend to international merger and acquisition, family firm strategic analysis, and macro-level regulatory analysis. 

Dr. Zhang has attended, coordinated, served, presented, as well as chaired several academic conferences, workshop, and competition including Northern Finance Association conference, Quadrant Behavioral Finance Conference, Global Family Enterprise Case Competition, ENTR Pitch Competition at the Asper School of Business, Asper School of Business Database Workshop, Rod Senft Family Business Conference, and Cross-Country Perspectives in Finance Conference. 

A reviewer of several renowned scholarly journals, he also has extensive experience of teaching in the fields of finance, actuarial science, and business administration.
