Pierre Gautreau is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at the I.H. Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on how organizations develop, implement, and manage artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, with a particular focus on managing innovation, healthcare operations, and service operations. He often collaborates with healthcare institutions and other industry partners. Before entering acadamia, Pierre worked in engineering, operations, and supply chain management roles across Canada, where he led technology implementation and process improvement initiatives. He continues to work with organizations on innovation and technology management challenges. Pierre earned his Ph.D. from the Schulich School of Business at York University, his MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, and his Bachelor of Engineering from l'Université de Moncton. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer. Outside of academia, Piere is an aviation enthusiast and holds a private pilot license.
