Josiane Kroll holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, a master’s degree in Production Engineering, and a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems. She is certified in six ITIL® 4 areas (Foundation in IT Service Management; Specialist Create, Deliver and Support; Strategist Direct, Plan and Improve; Specialist Drive Stakeholder Value; Specialist High-Velocity IT; and Managing Professional Certificate) and holds both Professional Google Cloud Architect and Google Cloud Digital Leader certifications.
Josiane joined the University of Manitoba in 2017 as a sessional instructor in the Computer Science Department. In 2018, she transitioned to The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL). She has now joined the Asper School of Business as a Senior Lead, Information Technologist.
The Senior Lead, IT position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of digital infrastructure and academic technologies at the Asper School of Business, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and the evolving needs of teaching, research, and administration. As the faculty’s principal IT advisor, the role drives innovation in areas such as AI integration, curriculum mapping automation, and learning technologies, while managing the IT team to deliver effective, secure, and future-focused technology solutions.
