Biography

Maryam Razzaq is a people-focused, passionate professional with over 5 years of experience in the education sector with leadership and program management experience. As a Co-operative Education Coordinator for the Asper School of Business, Maryam focuses on the planning, developing and execution of the Co-op program, which is accredited by Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL) and averages 300 students per year. The Asper Co-op Program serves as an educational partnership, bridging the employment and academic needs of students, the University, and the business community.

Maryam provides professional development advice, career coaching and facilitation to support Co-op students while working in collaboration with business and community partners. She brings previous experience working with undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Manitoba and has experience working in student recruitment and work integrated learning at the post-secondary level. Maryam has a genuine interest and strength in relationship building and collaboration, particularly through student engagement and success. 

Maryam is a graduate alumnus herself with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree, Certificate in Academic Advising, Certificate in Indigenous Canada and is currently in the process of completing a Certificate in University and College Administration. She also is a member of CEWIL Canada and is a Board Member with the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba. In her personal time, Maryam finds happiness and has a heart for humanitarian work; she has volunteered her time working with special needs orphans in Guatemala.
