Maryam Razzaq is a dedicated professional with a passion for people and education, with 6 years of experience in the sector. Currently serving as the Co-operative Education Coordinator for the Asper School of Business, Maryam plays an important role in the planning, development, and execution of the Co-op program, which is accredited by Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL) and supports an average of 300 students annually. In addition to her program management responsibilities, Maryam teaches IDM1010 (Communications for Career Management) and GMGT1000 (Writing Skills for Business) and serves as the Co-chair of the Asper Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force, highlighting her commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment.
With a focus on professional development advice, career coaching, and facilitation, Maryam supports co-op students in collaboration with business and community partners, drawing on her previous experience working with undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Manitoba. Her genuine interest in relationship building and collaboration shines through her dedication to student engagement and success.
Maryam has earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree, a Certificate in Academic Advising, and a Certificate in Indigenous Canada. She is currently working towards completing a Certificate in University and College Administration and Program Development for Adult Learners from the University of Manitoba, as well as participating in a Leadership and Communication Program at Harvard University. She is an active member of CEWIL Canada and serves as a Board Member with the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba. Beyond her professional pursuits, Maryam finds fulfillment in humanitarian work, volunteering her time to support special needs orphans in Guatemala.
