Biography

Harsh Dod is an Assistant Professor at the I.H Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. He received his Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from IE Business School, where he also served as an adjunct professor. Before joining Asper, he spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher at Bocconi University. His research lies at the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation, with particular attention on how firms grow and compete in entrepreneurial ecosystems. His current projects examine platform growth, the strategic use of partnerships by crowdfunding platforms, and the effects of startup failure on other firms in entrepreneurial ecosystems. Before his academic career, Harsh earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Thapar University and gained professional experience in manufacturing and e-commerce. His work is motivated by a commitment to connecting academic theory with the practical challenges faced by startups and innovative firms.
