Overview: Fateme Hardani Pour is a PhD candidate in Marketing at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. She is a mixed-methods researcher working at the intersection of human-computer interaction and digital media. Her research examines how social media users perceive and interact with AI-generated agents and their content on social media. Specifically, she investigates the psychological and behavioral mechanisms that drive user engagement with these emerging digital personas. Methodologically, her work integrates large-scale secondary platform data with controlled experimental designs to provide both ecological validity and causal insight. Through this approach, her research advances understanding of user-AI interaction and the evolving role of artificial agents in online social environments.
