Overview: My research focuses on entrepreneurship in the informal economy and extra-legal industries. I am particularly interested in how resource-constrained environments stimulate innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions, as well as how entrepreneurs mobilize finance in the informal sector to sustain their ventures. I also examine how entrepreneurs develop innovations that address societal challenges, including inequality and environmental sustainability. In addition, I explore the moral justifications entrepreneurs employ when persisting in actions that generate destructive outcomes. Broadly, my work seeks to understand how entrepreneurial ventures balance financial objectives with the creation of social value, contributing to inclusive and sustainable development.
