Cheta D. Akaluka

As the Communications Specialist, Cheta D. Akaluka is responsible for maintaining the overall reputation and success of the Asper School of Business through clear communication and strategic branding. 

Cheta is a three-time graduate of The University of Winnipeg, Red River College, and the University of Manitoba, with distinction. She has her background in Rhetoric and Communication with specializations in Human Relations, Sociology, Advertising, and Marketing. 

Her awards and recognitions include valedictorian of the Asper School of Business James W. Burns Leadership Institute (2021), Mayor's Volunteer Service Award (2024), The Black Label Poetry Slam Champion (2019), Emily Dickenson Poetry Award Recipient (2022), Canadian Service Corps recognition for her valuable contribution towards improving Canadian communities (2022), and many more.
