Olawole Taiwo Luro

Taiwo has gained over a decade of experience working in the adult education and career development space within the post-secondary field across Manitoba's education sector. Additionally, he has experience in the immigration space, specifically working with highly skilled immigrants in Manitoba by offering guided career self-rediscovery and facilitated learning experiences through MPNP Manitoba immigration pathways.

Taiwo's instructional experience includes teaching and advising at the University College of the North, Red River College, The University of Winnipeg's PACE programs, and most recently, the University of Manitoba's Asper School of Business. Prior to establishing a career in the post-secondary sector, Taiwo worked overseas in sales leadership and aviation, respectively, with Nestlé Nigeria and Virgin Nigeria Airways. Having completed an MBA, a certificate in Adult Education, University Administration and a Professional Career Management Certificate, Taiwo is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Adult Learning and Global Change at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

As an advocate for volunteer work and community involvement, Taiwo currently serves the board of YES Manitoba and is a previous board chair at the Winnipeg English Language Assessment and Referral Centre. Besides work, he enjoys spending time outdoors exploring greenspace and nature's beauty.
