In the role of International Exchange Coordinator at the Asper School of Business, Amber Pohl works to encourage all Asper students to study abroad, provides academic advising services, facilitates transitions to Canada for all foreign exchange students, and manages relationships with international partner schools. She also manages and leads the annual Arni Thorsteinson Study Exchange Program to Israel.
Amber has worked internationally in a range of recruiting capacities in the IT sector, and has a number of years’ experience managing large programs in the not-for-profit sector. She began her career at Asper as a Co-op Coordinator in the Career Development Centre.
Amber has a genuine passion for travel and intercultural experiences. She spent a number of years living and working in New Zealand and Scotland, and has travelled extensively in over 35 countries across five continents. Her travel bucket list includes Madagascar, Japan, Uganda, Turkey, Iceland, Mali, Brazil, Jordan and Ethiopia.
