Dr. Sivaramakrishnan's primary research interest is in the area of consumer behaviour. Issues he is currently researching include perception of health risks and how health warnings could be worded to be taken more seriously, consumer dilemmas in making product choices that impact the environment, and the role of country stereotypes in the perception of brands. His recent publications have appeared in the Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, International Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Product & Brand Management, Journal of Interactive Marketing, and Journal of Strategic Marketing.
Dr. Sivaramakrishnan teaches at the Undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D., and Executive Education levels. His recent teaching experience includes Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, International Marketing, and Marketing Research. He has co-authored two Canadian editions of Marketing Management (with Philip Kotler) and Marketing Research Essentials. He has received several awards for teaching—the Saunderson Award for Excellence in Teaching, Asper Associates Awards, and CMA Merit Award at the University of Manitoba, the Award for Innovative Teaching at the University of Arkansas, and a Graduate Student Teaching Award at Penn State University.
Subbu is a compulsive photographer, and enjoys singing.
