Sean MacDonald teaches within the Business Administration Department at the Asper School of Business. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) (Political Studies) from the University of Winnipeg, and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Manitoba, focusing on economic development and the role of government.
He specializes in human resource management, business strategy and negotiations. He instructs at the undergraduate and MBA level. He also teaches Asper Executive Education courses, including Negotiation and Consensus Building and the Advanced Program in Management, Leadership and Strategy. Beyond his academic role, he is the Faculty Advisor to the Asper MBA and Undergraduate Co-op Program and serves as an independent consultant to local companies. In past years, he has won teaching awards including the 2021 Asper School of Business Golden Shovel Award and the 2022 Asper Associates Award for teaching.
