Dan Shin is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba.
In 2023, he earned his PhD from the Ivey Business School at Western University in Operations Management. His research encompasses the examination of the use and implementation of evolving technology such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in healthcare operations.
His research seeks to specifically understand the socio-technological challenges faced by the organizations during the deployments of the advanced applications, and the operational practices that are required by the organizations to facilitate the transformation of information from analytics to knowledge that help make better informed decision-making and generate value to the organization and the end-users.
