Asper has held AACSB accreditation since 1999, reflecting a long-standing and sustained commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement.

CEWIL

CEWIL Canada accreditation is the national standard of excellence for co-operative education programs. Accredited programs meet rigorous national standards that demonstrate high-quality program delivery, effective employer and student engagement, and robust monitoring and evaluation practices.

The Asper School of Business has been accredited by CEWIL Canada since 2011 and was the first co-op program in Manitoba to achieve this national recognition. This accreditation assures students, employers, and the broader community that Asper Co-op delivers meaningful, well-supported, and outcomes-driven work-integrated learning experiences that enhance professional readiness and long-term career success.

European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD Global)

The Asper School of Business is a member of EFMD Global, an international, non-profit organization that provides quality assurance and accreditation for business schools and management programs worldwide. EFMD’s global network of leading business schools and corporate partners supports excellence in teaching, research, international engagement, and impact in management education.

United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)

The Asper School of Business is a signatory member of the United Nations–supported Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative. This commitment aligns Asper’s teaching, research, and engagement activities with global principles of responsible management, reinforcing the School’s focus on sustainability, equity, diversity and inclusion, and Indigenous business relations.

Positive Impact Rating (PIR)

Asper has been recognized among the world’s leading business schools in the 2025 edition of the Positive Impact Rating (PIR), a global, student-led assessment that evaluates how business schools contribute to positive societal change. In its first year of participation, Asper was recognized at Level 3 – Progressing, a distinction that reflects meaningful advancement across key areas such as governance, culture, learning methods, student support, and public engagement. This recognition highlights Asper’s collective efforts to advance sustainability, equity, and responsible business education, while also providing valuable insights to support ongoing reflection and continuous improvement.

Chartered Professional Accountants of Manitoba (CPA Manitoba)

CPA Manitoba is the regulatory body for the accounting profession in Manitoba. Asper maintains a transfer credit agreement with CPA Manitoba that allows students who complete a four-year degree to apply course credits toward preparatory CPA requirements, significantly reducing time to designation.

Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA)

In 2023, seven of Asper’s nine core undergraduate accounting courses received accreditation from the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), a global professional accounting body. This accreditation enables students to receive recognition toward ACCA credentials through their coursework at Asper.

CFA Institute

The CFA Institute represents the global gold standard for ethical and professional investment management. Asper’s Master of Finance program and MBA Financial Analyst stream are affiliated with the CFA Institute’s University Affiliation Program, signaling close alignment between curriculum and the CFA Program Body of Knowledge. This long-standing affiliation supports students preparing for CFA exams and reflects Asper’s strength in finance education at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA)

The Canadian Institute of Actuaries is the qualifying and governing body of the actuarial profession in Canada. The Warren Centre for Actuarial Studies and Research at the Asper School of Business is accredited under the CIA’s University Accreditation Program, allowing students in the BComm Actuarial Mathematics major to apply course credits toward their Associate (ACIA) and Fellow (FCIA) designations, subject to minimum grade requirements.

Society of Actuaries (SOA)

The Warren Centre at the Asper School of Business has been recognized as a Center of Actuarial Excellence by the SOA since 2009, reflecting leadership in actuarial education and research. The University of Manitoba is one of only 11 Canadian universities, and the only undergraduate business program in the country, accredited to participate in their University Earned Credit Program, reinforcing Asper’s national standing in actuarial education. Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Manitoba

In 2017, CPHR Manitoba accredited the Asper BComm (Honours) program under its Post-Secondary Institution Accreditation Program. This accreditation enables graduates to pursue the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation with advanced standing, supporting professional readiness and career advancement in the field of human resources.

Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT)

In 2024, Asper established an advanced standing partnership with CITT, Canada’s logistics association, that integrates academic study with the Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation. This agreement enhances students’ academic learning while fast-tracking progress toward professional certification. Asper is the second business school in Canada to achieve this partnership, providing BComm and MSCM graduates with a distinctive pathway into professional logistics and supply chain careers.
