Research

Research interests

Dr. Lawley's research focuses on agronomy and cropping systems. Her research has involved several crops including soybeans, corn, canola, and wheat as well as a range of management practices from crop rotation, residue management, strip tillage, to cover crops. Her research involves both small plot and on-farm field scale research.

  • Intercropping strategies for cover crops in Western Canada
  • Cover crops for flea beetle management in canola
  • Corn intercropping for extended winter grazing
  • Prolongued nitrogen fixation in soybean during periodic moisture stress
  • Establishment strategies for pollinator habitat
