What we offer

  • The Duff Roblin analytical lab has five GC-FIDs (Gas Chromatograph with Flame Lonization Detector) for fatty acid analysis. Prepared samples [as FAMEs (fatty acid methyl esters)] from a variety of sources, such as biological tissues and fluids, seeds, grains, etc., can be submitted for analysis of their fatty acid composition.  We also provide a complete service in which we extract lipids from samples, run them on the GC-FID, and process the results for both internal and external clients.

  • Techician operating Gas Chromatograph
  • Techician operating liquid chromatorgraphy
  • The analytical lab has a UPLC (Ultra-performance Liquid Chromatography) for amino acid analysis. The UPLC is used for amino acid analysis of cereals, pulses, protein concentrates and isolates just to name a few. Amino acid analysis is provided for both internal and external clients.

  • In Duff Roblin we also have a diet mixing room. This room is used for mixing diets for animal studies. The room incorporates two industrial mixers for mixing the animal diets and a large sink area with an industrial sprayer for cleaning the mixing bowls.
