Research interests

Dr. Nuria Morfin's research focuses on different aspects of honey bee (Apis mellifera) health, including:

  • Implementing marker-assisted selection tools in honey bee breeding populations
  • Mechanisms of resistance of varroa mites to synthetic acaricides
  • Overwintering methods for honey bee colonies
