Research interests

Dr. Rochon's research focuses on arthropods (ticks, flies, etc.) affecting livestock and wildlife.

  • Geographic distribution of animal pathogen vectors
  • Arthropod - animal host interactions, biology and ecology
  • Livestock pest management
  • Emerging and re-emerging arthropod-borne diseases

Current research projects

  • Environmental factors influencing tick distribution and abundance on pastures
  • Tick sampling and surveillance
