4th International Trainee Symposium in Agri-Food, Nutrition and Health

June 22-24, 2026

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 4th International Trainee Symposium in Agri-Food, Nutrition and Health, to be held at the Richardson Centre for Food Technology and Research (RCFTR), University of Manitoba.

Date: June 22–24, 2026
Location: Richardson Centre for Food Technology and Research
University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada

This Symposium continues our commitment to providing a dynamic and inclusive platform for trainees to showcase innovative research at the intersection of agri-food systems, nutrition, biotechnology, and human health. As global interest grows in sustainable food systems and health-promoting food innovations, this event highlights cutting-edge research shaping the future of science and society.

This year, one of the Symposium days will be integrated into the Manitoba Sustainable Protein Research Symposium, providing trainees with a valuable opportunity to engage with a broader community of researchers, industry partners, and stakeholders working across the protein innovation ecosystem.

The Symposium is open to all individuals interested in Agri-Food, Nutrition, Health, and related disciplines. Abstract submissions for oral presentations are reserved for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, reflecting our mission to foster the next generation of researchers. Presentations will follow a rapid format, with 7-minute talks designed to promote focused scientific exchange and discussion.

Detailed instructions for abstract preparation are available below. Abstract submission deadline:  May 15th, 2026.

In alignment with our commitment to accessibility and knowledge sharing, there are no registration or abstract submission fees, and refreshments will be provided during the event.

For internationals outside Canada, further details regarding virtual access will be shared closer to the event date. Please save the dates, June 22–24, 2026, and stay tuned for additional program announcements.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 4th International Trainee Symposium and to advancing scientific dialogue together.

Best regards,
