Winter term move-in
Welcome to residence! This guide will walk you through check-in, arrival times, accommodations, and helpful tips to help you settle in comfortably.
Arriving at residence
You can check in on or after Sunday, January 4.
Check in and pick up your keys at the Residence Office located in the Arthur V. Mauro Student Residence building at 120 Dafoe Road. Please have a valid form of photo ID ready before checking in.
From there, it's approximately less than a one-minute walk to Mary Speechly Hall, Pembina Hall Residence, or a five-minute walk to University College Residence.
Check-in dates & times
Check-in for the Winter Term will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Please note our regular Residence Office hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
For weekends, Saturday and Sunday check-in hours are from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. We recommend planning your arrival within these times to ensure a smooth check-in process and timely key pick-up.
Late arrival and temporary accommodation
If your flight arrives in Winnipeg after 8:00 PM, we recommend that you arrange to stay in temporary accommodation (hotel) when you first arrive until your Residence move-in date, so that you can still arrive early enough to settle in, recover from jet lag and attend all Orientation programming, which is always offered the week before classes begin.
