IST Media Production Services offers:

Video and audio production

We capture, edit, and produce video and audio for classes, promotions, special events, public lectures and conferences. This includes pre and post-production of content from logistics, scripting, recording, editing and finalizing files for event, online or streaming use.

Photography and digital imaging services

We provide a variety of digital imaging services ranging from event capture to studio shoots. Our photographers have skills across several specialized photographic techniques, including portraiture, documentation and archival photography. We also provide image editing and enhancement services.

Special event audiovisual support

We support special events on campus - from podium sound set-ups to complex recording and streaming for institutional events such as press conferences or Convocation. We also support conferences and events off-campus for the UM Community. This can include streaming and providing links for post-event video on demand.

Requesting IST Media Production Services

1. Requester must book rooms in Ad Astra prior to an audiovisual request.
2. Complete and submit the Audiovisual request form.
3. If the requested service is available, the IST Service Desk will produce an estimate for your review.
4. Some equipment, services and locations require a technician to operate (labour charges may apply). After you confirm the service request, if a technician is assigned, they will contact you about your requirements and provide updated estimates.

We require a minimum of five business days’ notice for all requests as services may not be guaranteed with shorter notice. During high volume times of the year (ex. Convocation), we may not be able to fulfil all requests.
