2026 Canada-Mexico Binational Indigenous/Intercultural Roundtable
Save the date! The University of Manitoba is proud to host the 2026 Canada-Mexico Binational Indigenous/Intercultural Roundtable at our Fort Garry Campus from June 15-17, 2026.
Overview
Since 2012, leaders from Canadian universities and the Intercultural Universities of Mexico have met to discuss issues relevant to Indigenous/Intercultural higher education in our respective nations. Through the Binational Indigenous/Intercultural Roundtable, we develop agreements to promote student mobility, joint research and Indigenous community partnerships.
Historically, institutions have sent heads of Indigenous departments, senior international officers, and/or Indigenous faculty/students or leaders.
Registration opens March 2026.
The planning of this event is supported by the University of Manitoba, Lakehead University and Universidad Veracruzana.
