Poverty Awareness & Community Action (PACA) is a workshop that uses role play and discussion to teach students about the stigma, discrimination, and barriers that people facing poverty experience when trying to access government and community services, and what changes and solutions we should implement to improve community wellbeing.

The PACA workshop is facilitated by a team of UM students, staff, and faculty and community members with lived experience with poverty. In 2020-21, PACA workshops will be taking place on the Zoom videoconferencing platform.
