Contribution to Organization program
A funding opportunity to help Canadian business build capacity and pursue R&D activities.

Are you a Canadian small-to-medium size enterprise (SME) looking for support for your research and development project in agricultural or food sciences?
If so, your company may be eligible to work with experts at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences.
Build capacity
With funding support from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP), the UM Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences has launched a program to help Canadian SMEs innovate in the agriculture or food science technologies space. The program aims to help companies build their innovation capacity.
Since April 2022, the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences has assisted in 60 projects involving 34 different SMEs located across Canada. The projects cover a range of sector interests such as dairy product development, plant protein processing and purification, oilseed extraction, brewing co-product management, cosmetics, new food product development, fertilizer innovations, waste management and agribusiness.
