What Crowdmark can do and how it enables online exam evaluation

Request access to Crowdmark

You must obtain permission from your faculty to use Crowdmark.

Create an IT ticket to request access to Crowdmark. Someone from the IST Service Desk will contact you to ask for more information and assist you.

Request Crowdmark exam scanning

For scanning requests, you must request access to Crowdmark first. Once you request access, IST will initiate a consultation with you to gather additional information if necessary.

To request Crowdmark exam scanning:

  1. If you have already requested access to Crowdmark, go to step 2. If not, select the Request access to Crowdmark tab on this page and select Create an IT ticket to request Crowdmark access.
  2. Once you have Crowdmark access, bring the exam answer sheets to the IST Service Desk. 
  3. Complete the request sheet provided at the Service Desk. 
  4. Send a Printer-Uploader invitation for your course assessment 
    • Log in to Crowdmark with your UMNetID. 
    • From your assessment Dashboard, choose Team in the sidebar. 
    • Choose the Invite by Email button in the upper right. A form will appear. 
    • Type crowdmark@umanitoba.ca into the field. Make sure Printer-Uploader is selected. 
    • Choose Invite. Crowdmark will send an invitation email to the address you entered, prompting the person to sign in, or, if they are a new user, to create a Crowdmark account. 
  5. Scanned exam sheets will be uploaded to Crowdmark once access is provided.

Additional requirements

  • Request an initial consultation with IST.
  • Each faculty is responsible for creating a support peer group to provide training and support to instructors and teaching assistants.
  • For scanning requests, you must request access to Crowdmark. Once you request access, IST will initiate a consultation with you to gather additional information if necessary.

Both IST and the Crowdmark vendor provide technical support for the application.

Costs

Any costs to the faculty or department will be determined during the request and consultation process.
