As expectations increase for companies and their team members to use and deliver transformative business outcomes, artificial intelligence including Co-Pilots and chatbots are becoming tools on every desktop. However, many organizations struggle to convert AI interest into measurable results. Leaders and teams often face uncertainty about where AI can create real value, which workflows are ready for automation or augmentation, and how to move beyond experimentation without introducing risk.
Applied AI for Department Leaders is a practical, hands-on program designed to help participants move from AI awareness to confident execution. The program provides a clear understanding of how generative AI, reasoning models, and simple AI agents operate in real organizational contexts. Through applied examples and guided exercises, participants learn how to integrate AI into daily workflows to improve efficiency, decision-making, and execution quality.
Through hands-on tools, impactful prompt engineering, and building AI agents, the program emphasizes workflow redesign through human - AI collaboration. Participants leave with practical skills, working assets, and a clear action plan for responsible AI adoption that delivers immediate and sustainable business impact.
At the conclusion of the program, participants receive a Certificate of Completion from the I.H. Asper School of Business’ James W. Burns Executive Education Centre.
