Eligibility for PRA MB-FP:
- Preference will be given to established residents of the Province of Manitoba
- IMG physicians must meet the requirements for Provisional Registration - Family Practice Limited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM). Please carefully review application requirements, the information and application can be found on the CPSM website: https://cpsm.mb.ca/registration. Please ensure that you indicate "PRA MB-FP" under INTENDED PRACTICE LOCATION on the application to the CPSM.
- Pass standing of the following Medical Council of Canada Examinations
- Must show evidence of Currency in Practice - minimum of 3 years of independent clinical practice as a General/Family Practitioner within 5 years immediately preceding August 1, 2020. Applicants without general or family practice training and/or experience will not be considered.
Eligibility for MLPIMG:
- Permanent resident (landed immigrant) or Canadian citizen
- Preference will be given to established residents of the Province of Manitoba
- Pass standing of the following Medical Council of Canada Examinations:
- Must have 1 year (12 months) independent practice experience working as a physician in general practice, family medicine or primary care. Postgraduate training (internship/residency) does not count towards this requirement
- Must show evidence of Currency in Practice – must not have been out of independent practice as a General/Family Practitioner for longer than 5 years preceding August 1, 2020. If out of practice for longer than 5 years, minimum of 12 consecutive months of independent clinical practice is required.

Please note the following CPSM requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate medical education in Family Medicine acceptable to the CPSM.
- Pass standing of MCCEE or MCCQE1
- English language proficiency
