1. To recommend to Senate policies and procedures respecting academic freedom, including related issues such as conditions of appointment, discipline (including reprimand, suspension and dismissal), tenure, promotion and grievance;
2. To address itself to such matters respecting academic freedom and other related issues as shall be referred by Senate from time to time.
1. Five members of the academic staff, at least three of whom shall be Senators. At least one of the five shall be from among those excluded from collective bargaining units
2. Two students to be named by the Committee on Nominations, at least one of whom shall be a student Senator
