The Venture Coach at the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship is a resource for students to help lead them into start-up land with one-on-one meetings with students at any stage in the start-up, from the beginning stages of an idea and beyond.
Students book a FREE meeting with the Venture Coach and receive valuable feedback in idea vetting, feasibility studies, financial modelling, market research, cash flow projections, or to bounce around ideas with another entrepreneur!

Joshua is the owner of Audax Ventures, a corporation that owns a Business Development & Marketing Agency, Longball Athletics, H2MB, Shadow Lake Promotions and other business investments. Joshua oversees the strategic direction of business investments and operational activities. On a day to day basis, Joshua works with other entrepreneurs in assisting with business plan development, feasibility studies, market research, industry analysis, financial modeling, capital raising and business coaching. Joshua creates, implements, manages and measures new strategic initiatives for his clients.
Joshua graduated with his Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) Degree with a major in Entrepreneurship from the University of Manitoba's Asper School of Business in December of 2016.
Joshua began his pursuit of entrepreneurship in 2012 when he launched his own digital marketing consulting practice. As a trusted advisor, he provided his clients with strategies to grow and maintain an effective online presence through the use of multiple digital platforms. Joshua’s work evolved into working with business owners and early stage entrepreneurs in building & reviewing business plans, professional presentations, helping launch businesses, building marketing strategies, feasibility studies, capital structuring, capital raising and strategic growth, now under the Audax Ventures brand.
Following a 3 year term as a the MB Representative for Longball Athletics, a Canadian golf & lifestyle apparel company with distribution throughout North America, Joshua acquired the company and became the CEO and Co-Owner of Longball. In the Fall of 2019, an opportunity arose to sell the majority control of the company when interest was expressed from a 3rd party. Joshua led the conversations, negotiation and structure of the sale while keeping the company active and producing revenue. As part of the acquisition terms, Joshua remains a board member and minor shareholder of the company and assists with overseeing the high-level strategic direction of the company and recommendations for future growth.
In the Fall of 2019, Joshua began an exciting position as the Venture Coach at the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. As Venture Coach, Joshua is mentoring students across the University who are pursuing their own ideas for a venture and helping bring their ideas to life. Within the Manitoba entrepreneurial ecosystem, Joshua also works as the Manitoba Market Manager for the League of Innovators, a not for profit organization with the goal of building entrepreneurial acumen for youth, from discovery to acceleration.
Joshua is actively involved in his community and recognizes the need to give back whenever possible. He is the Vice Chair & board member of the Young Associates of the Asper School of Business, a board member of the St. Pauls High School Alumni Association, and a speaker to various groups of high school and MBA students. He is the founder of the Manitoba Longball Open; a charity golf tournament held at the Clear Lake Golf Course to raise money and awareness for KidSport Manitoba.
When the opportunity arises for some down time, Joshua will most likely be found travelling, on the golf course or at his family cottage enjoying the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
