DIVERSE RESEARCH AREAS
The Department currently houses robust research programs in Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Liver and Endocrine Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Drug Metabolism and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Manitoba Medical Campus, and a specialized research program in the Neuropharmacology of Neurodegenerative Disorders at the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Center. In addition, individual laboratories are focused on making discoveries that translate to new drug development in specialized areas of pharmacology, including lipid pharmacology, toxicology, cancer pharmacology, asthma pharmacology, nutraceuticals, and muscle regeneration.
