Dr. Ducharme’s current research is focused on transgender youth receiving gender affirming care. She is part of two CIHR funded studies focused on the medical, social and family outcomes among youth referred for medical care at 10 clinics in Canada.
Dr. Jennifer Ducharme is an assistant professor in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Manitoba. She is also a clinical psychologist for the Child and Adolescent Clinical Health Psychology Service at the Health Sciences Centre (Shared Health).
Dr. Ducharme specializes in working clinically with children, adolescents, and their families and has particular clinical and research interests in working with youth with chronic health concerns as well as with transgender youth. She is the consulting psychologist for the GDAAY clinic, and is also a co-investigator for the Winnipeg site for the Trans Youth Can! and Stories of Affirming Care studies.
