For requests by prospective employers and academic institutions

This letter can be requested in person, by fax or by mail on the Confirmation of Degree Awarded form by the graduate themselves.

All requests to be sent to prospective employers, academic institutions and other third-parties must be referred to AuraData. If more information is required, the student can order an enrolment verification or transcript.

The Registrar's Office can provide a Certified Copy of Degree, but the University does not have duplicate parchments or any copies of parchments that have been issued to graduates.

Graduates are required to provide a clear copy of their own parchment for certification. The copy will be given a stamp along with a signature and date, and will bear the embossed UM seal over the signature.

These documents are $11.75 each and can take five business days. The fee is subject to change. Students can request these copies in person with photo identification, or mail with a signature on the Certified Copy of Degree form (PDF).

A parchment delivery request can be made by a student who would like to pick up or have their parchment delivered by express post or courier.  Parchments will be ready for pick up 2 weeks after the last Convocation ceremony (for May and October) or 2 weeks after the announced graduation date (for February). Students can submit the Parchment Delivery Request form (PDF) in person or by fax.

Replacement parchment

If your parchment has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, you may apply for a replacement parchment. Please note the replacement parchment looks similar to the original, and the wording certifies you have graduated, but it is NOT A DUPLICATE OF YOUR ORIGINAL parchment.

The fee for a replacement parchment is $75.00 and can take five business days. Fees are subject to change. This document can be requested in person with photo identification, or by fax or mail with a signature on the Request for replacement parchment form (PDF).

It will be printed on the same paper as current parchments are printed, including the University of Manitoba seal, using the same font as current original parchments use, in landscape format.

The fee for a Replacement Parchment is $75.00 and can take five business days. Fees are subject to change.

Your original parchment must be returned with your request. This document can be requested in person with photo identification, or by fax or mail with a signature on the Request for replacement parchment: Bachelor of Laws to Juris Doctor form (PDF).
