All fees quoted are in Canadian dollars and are based on current 2019-2020 approved rates. All fees are approximate and subject to change. The costs of textbooks and materials will vary, and are not included in the fees listed below.

This fee must accompany the application package.
Upon receiving the offer of admission, students will be required to pay a $3,000 non-refundable tuition deposit within 20 business days of the offer of admission. Failing to pay the deposit may result in the student losing their spot in the program. Once the deposit is paid, it is retained to be applied toward the first tuition payment. It is non -refundable in the event the student does not join the program.

  • $28,000 Tuition
    Students admitted to the MFin will be assessed this tuition fee in their first year of the program, split between fall and winter terms.
  • $829.04 Continuing Fee ($414.52/in each of fall and winter term)
    Students whose program extends beyond the one-year period will be assessed this annual fee for each remaining year in the program.
  • $664.00 Endowment Fees (per year)
  • $1,300 (approximately) Student Organization/Student Service/Technology/Library/Registration/Sports and Recreation/U-Pass Fees (per year)
  • $345.00 Supplementary Health/Dental Insurance (single student, per year)
    Note: Family coverage may also be arranged. Supplemental health and/or dental fees can be waived upon provision of documentation of coverage elsewhere.


In addition to fees listed above, international students admitted to the MFin will be assessed approximately $6,000 International Student Differential Fee in their first year of the program and approximately $865/year for International Student Health Insurance.


International Graduate Student Entrance Scholarship

International students with an admission GPA of 3.5 and above who are entering the MFin program will be eligible for this $5,500 scholarship. The Faculty of Graduate Studies will calculate your GPA during the admission process to determine your eligibility. Candidates who qualify are automatically offered the scholarship, so there is no need to apply for it.
