Everyone needs a place to call home. A place where they feel safe, comfortable and have all the comforts and facilities they need to thrive. Many of our students must leave their families and friends to come to the University of Manitoba to pursue their dreams. Our residence facilities become their home away from home while they’re here. Today, a spectacular new residence is under construction on the Fort Garry campus.
This sparkling new 120,000 square foot facility will include 360-single units with private washrooms – no more sharing with everyone down the hall! It will be fully Wi-Fi so students can do their work wherever and whenever they want. The clear span construction will provide residents with an amazing view of the Red River as it winds its way through campus. The new Pembina Hall residence is expected to be completed by September, 2011.
