Recovering an Abrahamic Peace Ethic for a Threatened Planet:
The 21st Century Global Imperative
Rev. Dr. Johnston McMaster is coordinator of the Education for Reconciliation programme, Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin, and has worked extensively in the areas of peace education and inter-religious reconciliation. He participated in the development of peace education resources for the cross-border project Education for Reconciliation: Securing the Future through Active Citizenship. His writings include Churches on the Edge: Responding Creatively to a Changing Time (2001) and A Passion for Justice: Social Ethics in the Celtic Tradition (2008), as well as publications on “Ethical Remembering: Commemoration in a New Context,” “The Role of Religion in Making Peace and Reconciliation in Northern Ireland,” and “An Inter-Religious Cartography of Peace.”
