Unique program experiences

  • Collaborative PhD Program

The Collaborative PhD Program at the University of Manitoba provides an opportunity for outstanding graduate students to receive training at both the University of Manitoba and a collaborating university outside of Canada. Students spend a period in residence and complete portions of their program of study, and fulfill all requirements of, each university.

  • Individual Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS)

Master’s and doctoral students with a proven track record have the opportunity to register in Individual Interdisciplinary Studies (IIS).

Students can combine substantial aspects of existing programs of at least two units into a unique syllabus that lies outside traditional disciplinary boundaries.

  • Joint Masters Programs (JMP)

The Joint Master’s Programs (JMP) at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg enhance the rich collaborative relationship that exists between the two institutions.
