  1. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS:   Original Language and English Translation
  2. DEGREE CERTIFICATE :     Original Language and English Translation
  3. ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EXAM SCORES (if necessary):
    1. Receipt of English language test scores
      1. Sent to us directly from the testing institution
      2. Uploaded by student
        (After uploading test scores in your online admissions application; wait a few days for confirmation as to whether your test scores are valid or scores are needed from the testing institution. This information will be in your SELF-SERVICE ACCOUNT)
    2. No older than 2-years
    3. MORE INFORMATION:  English language proficiency requirements 

 

 

WHEN DO I SUBMIT MY OFFICIAL DOCUMENT

If you are offered admissions into the Graduate Program, the Faculty of Graudate Studies will submit an "OFFER OF ADMISSIONS LETTER" into your  SELF-SERVICE ACCOUNT.  

After you receive an "OFFER OF ADMISSIONS LETTER" through your SELF-SERVICE ACCOUNT, at that time, please send ALL "OFFICIAL" documents to the FACULTY OF GRADUATE STUDIES.

 

 

HOW DO I SEND MY OFFICIAL DOCUMENT

BY THE STUDENT'S ACADEMIC INSTITUTION

Your university may send your Transcripts and Degree Certificate directly to the Faculty of Graduate Studies

 

BY THE STUDENT

Students, you may send us your "OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS".  

  • Please MAKE SURE the documents have the stamps/seal of the university, record's office, ministry, etc. ( http://umanitoba.ca/faculties/graduate_studies/admin/165.html)
  • Transcripts with the seal/stamp AND / OR without the seal/stamp on the lip of the envelope containing the documents are NOT considered "OFFICIAL" and are NOT ACCEPTABLE

When sending us documents, please send those...

  1. in a manner which you can track
  2. in a manner which requires that the recipient (us) to sign for the documents upon receipt
  3. to the FACULTY OF GRADUATE STUDIES

 

CARRIED BY THE STUDENT

You may carry "OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS" with you as you travel to Canada as long as the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) was not waiting to view final "OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS" for admissions or awards.  Please read the "CONDITIONS" and/or "PROVISIONS" on your OFFER OF ADMISSIONS LETTER. 

  1. ALL Transcripts must maintain the integrity of it's SEAL and CANNOT be broken

    1. Please make sure that there is a seal / stamp of the university, record's office, et. al. is on the lip of the envelope containing the official documents.

  2. We cannot offer final confirmation of Awards/Scholarships until "OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS" are received and evaluated
  3. You will not be allowed to register as a student of the University or in courses until "OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS" are received and evaluated

Once documents are sent to us we DO NOT return any documents.

NOTE:  LOST IN THE MAIL:   Items "Lost in the Mail" are the responsibility of the sender. We are not responsible for lost items or missed deadlines.

NOTE:  DELIVERY TIME:   Please be aware ... Depending on the coutry from which you are sending your documents, it can take ~30-days before we are in receipt of your documents.  

NOTE:  RETURNING DOCUMENTS:  Documents cannot be returned to the sender or student.

 

 

DISCLAIMER

Neither Tentative Approval for admissions by an academic advisor within ECE or the submission of an application and payment of processing fees guarantees admissions to the Graduate Program. All applications are reviewed by the Department and the Faculty of Graduate Studies.  Final approval rests with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

All students are responsible for the content of their Admissions Application and in making sure that the instructions and procedures are followed for the proper submission of an Admissions Application which includes obtaining Tentative Acceptance from a professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering in advance of the submission of an official admissions application.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:   It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that he / she holds the current and correct documents required by the IRCC to enroll as a graduate student in Canada.  Additionally, International students must conduct themselves in accordance to IRCC rules and regulations.
