Why did you change software systems?
Our old software served us well for nearly 20 years but is no longer sufficient to meet our growing business needs. The new software provides more flexibility and functionality moving forward to ensure ease-of-use for online registration.
What is the new software?
After an extensive procurement process, U of M selected a software named IntelliLeisure™. This new software will support future technology advancements while more importantly serving the future needs of the U of M community.
What are some benefits of the new system?
With the previous software, you needed a six-digit Client Account number and six-digit PIN to login. Simply more numbers to memorize. Luckily, this is no longer the case. Login is now simplified by using the email associated with your account to Log In. The new system is user friendly across digital platforms including tablets and mobile devices. Finding programs suitable for the whole family is easier than ever with simplified navigation using the browse programs function, plus even more added benefits coming soon.
How can I view or register for programs now?
We are excited to launch our new registration website/portal at umanitoba.ca/sportandrec. This website will replace the existing site. The website will provide students, staff and community members with streamlined access to our programs and services offered by the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. This includes Bison Sports, Mini U, Junior Bisons, Recreation Services, and our Facility rentals.
How do I get started?
After August 21, 2017, we invite you to sign up at umanitoba.ca/sportandrec/REGISTER and enjoy streamlined access to all our sport and recreation programs.
I have registered in programs in the past, and I’m not sure if I need to set up a new account. How do I know if I have an existing account?
With the launch of the new online registration software, some client accounts were carried over including:
• Active gym memberships
• Those who registered in programs for programs in the last 18 months
If you believe your account has been carried over, visit the Forgot your Password page (insert link) and enter your email address to request a password reset link. If your email is associated with an existing account, you will be able to reset your password and won’t need to call in to set up an account.

I am a new customer. What do I need to do?
To set up your online account, visit the Create New Account page (insert link). You will be able to create your new account, complete the required information and set a password. If you receive an error message or are unable to create a new account, contact our Customer Service Team at 204-474-6100.
I would like to change my account information. How can I do this?
Once you are logged in, you can change some of your account information in the My Account dropdown, though there is a limit to what can be changed. Contact our Customer Service Team at 204-474-6100 for inquiries about changing locked account information. We encourage all customers to review their account information for accuracy and to ensure your account information is current.
How do I create a family account?
To create a family account, please visit one of our Customer Service Desks at the Active Living Centre on the Fort Garry campus, or the Joe Doupe Centre on the Bannatyne campus. Will my existing balance or credit transfer into the new system?
Yes, all existing balances, both accounts receivable and credits, will be transferred on customer accounts. If you have any questions about your account balance please contact our Customer Service Team at 204-474-6100.
Can I purchase my gym membership online?
Currently we are not offering new gym memberships or renewals online. However, this is something we are working towards for a future date. To purchase or renew your gym membership please visit one of our Customer Service Desks at the Active Living Centre on the Fort Garry campus, or the Joe Doupe Centre on the Bannatyne campus. You can also call our Customer Service Team at 204-474-6100 for more information or questions.
What if I’m a U of M student and want to use the gym?
If you are a retuning student and had an active Sport & Recreation gym membership in 2016-17 academic year, your Fall 2017 term membership will automatically activate. If you are a first year student, or returning student who did not activate your membership last academic year, please visit one of our customer services desks in the Active Living Centre or Joe Doupe Recreation Centre.
Are there programs that are not available for online registration?
Some programs will not be available through this registration system because of complex registration procedures, and the need for additional information. Some of these programs include private/semi-private aquatic lessons, occupational fitness testing, clubs and other selected programs. If the Add to Cart button is not available, the course is restricted from online registration. For questions about these programs please contact our Customer Service Team at 204-474-6100.
