Environment and Geography


M.Sc. | M.Env.


Application Fee: $100 CDN (non-refundable)

All applicants must meet the minimum admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

An acceptable English Language Proficiency test score is required, if applicable.

For initial assessment purposes only, copies of unofficial transcripts (uploaded to your application) are acceptable and preferred. Transcripts are required from each institution for the entire academic history, whether or not degree has been awarded, including institutions attended on an exchange. If the English copy is a translation, please include the original language as well.

Degree Certificates – All international transcripts must be accompanied by degree certificates that indicate that the degree has been awarded.


Master of Science/Master of Environment

The M.Sc. is an integrative graduate program option for those interested in furthering their academic training in the areas of environmental sciences, including physical geography. The M.Env. is an interdisciplinary program focusing on basic and applied research that deals with the complex relationships between the environment, earth, natural resources, and society at large.

Application Requirements

  • M.Env./M.Sc. – Students with a four-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Geography (physical geography specialization) or from a program in the Earth or environmental sciences will be considered. All Master’s applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the last 60 credit hours of study.
