The Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning is the academic support unit that provides leadership and expertise in furthering the mission of teaching and learning at the University of Manitoba.

Taken together, the values provide a common language for our work at The Centre, and the ongoing journey towards collective well-being, reconcili-action, and justice in education.

Whether you are a new or experienced instructor, graduate student, or a postdoctoral fellow starting out on your teaching career, we offer a broad range of teaching development supports that will assist your teaching. The Centre is involved in many institution-wide strategic initiatives related to teaching and learning. These include policy creation, learning technologies, spaces research and development, teaching awards, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning awards, our signature publication TeachingLIFE as well as academic integrity.

Manitoba Flexible Learning HUB

The Centre is a strategic partner of the Province of Manitoba’s Flexible Learning HUB, an initiative dedicated to advancing, with technology, teaching and learning at the post-secondary level through the offer of innovative course design for online education.

The HUB staff is comprised of staff with expertise in instructional design and multi-media.
